Back after Christmas!

We got the New Year off to a good start on January 17th with a very enjoyable choral workshop facilitated by Diana Llewellyn,
Our first public performance in 2015 will be at the annual concert in aid of the RNLI SOS Day. This year the concert will take place at the Ballinadee Catholic Church on Friday 30th January. This is always a great night of music and we are sure this year will be no exception.

Lots going on!

Summer Break

posted 27 Jun 2014, 03:30 by Helen Molloy

Well we have now wrapped up our 2013/2014 season and will be taking a short Summer break. It has been a memorable year for the Glaslinn choir. The highlights include our success at the Kenmare Choral Festival and our double first at Feis Maitiú. Our participation in ten fundraising concerts was a fulfilling experience as always.
It was wonderful to welcome so many new choristers during the year though we also had to say a reluctant au revoir to some valued choir members. We are all looking forward to the Glaslinn choir trip abroad in 2015.
Thanks to everyone who supported us at our concerts and those who are supporting us here on our Facebook page and on our website.
Finally a big thank you to our wonderful Musical Director Antoinette Baker.

Then on the following afternoon, we won the Lynch Perpetual Cup for Adult Choirs and scored maximum points in the process!

We are all delighted! It was a weekend we will never forget.

Thank you to Antoinette Baker for all her hard work and perseverance and also to our accompanist at the Feis, Ruth O'Shea.

Good news for the choir at the recent Kenmare Choral Festival. We were placed second in both of the competitions that we entered - Church Music and Light Entertainment. Great celebrations all round!
The first photo shows our Musical Director Antoinette Baker with Dr Geoffrey Spratt, patron of the Kenmare Choral Festival and also one of the adjudicators.
The second photo is of the happy choristers and conductor after receiving the awards.
